Poems 4 Places

Turn construction sites into a nexus for positive engagements with the local community. Poems4Places engages local communities by creating spaces of engagement and reflection with large-scale poems on public-facing areas of construction sites, buildings or temporary structures.

We work with companies and communities to situate poems in the built environment. We use these projects as a focus for wider engagement such as workshops and events. Working with community groups, social media, press and PR teams we demonstrate and deliver genuine social value to local communities.  

Poems4Places would like to combine the transient and transformative nature of building sites with the transient and transformative nature of poetry, using temporary spaces as open air galleries for poetry.

Poems in places

Working with you we determine the optimal locations for verse and select the poems that work best for the site and community in which it is situated.

Direct community engagement 

We work directly with you and the local communities in which your projects are sited - we'll liaise with community groups, schools and other organisations - we facilite workshops and events. 

Commissions 

We can commission original / site specific works from local or nationally established poets and writers.
