Timeless Activities is dedicated to supporting communities including local residents, community groups and the general public. We work in care settings, public, and private spaces supporting client organisations to deliver and demonstrate Social Value in their projects.
What is Social Value?
Social value is the term given to the overall positive impact that a project has on the well-being or quality of life of individuals; communities or society as a whole.
Social value has always been an important part of how organisations create and conduct projects especially when those projects are funded by public money. This was enshrined in the law in the Public Services (Social Value) Act (2013); an act that requires all public sector organisations and their suppliers to consider how the services they commission and procure can improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of an area.
The Social Value Model
The Government has produced a Social Value Model together with a raft of guidance. This model sets how Social Value is understood by the government and how it should be measured by commissioning bodies and their suppliers.
The Model Award Criteria (MAC) is a long list of ways in which Social Value might be delivered together with what evidence would be expected, how the value may be measured and suggests that organisations define targets for what they are trying to achieve.
